Statement:

Jimmy has served several non-profit organizations including 5 years on the Phoenix Pride board of directors, regional representation for Inter-Pride, and on the board of H.E.R.O. from 2008 to 2011 and Co-chair 2009 to 2011 He is currently the Chair of One Voice Community Center, and has served as a Co-Director for Right to Marry AZ for 2010, and 20122 and  is the Director The Right to Marry  for Northern Arizona in 2012.

As an outspoken LGBT advocate, Jimmy has not only put his desire for social equality into action through numerous advocacy groups, but has also drawn national attention through bold public demonstrations. His civic protests and his fight to hold our local and national leader’s feet to the fire have gained him the great respect of the LGBT community. He has been honored with the Echo readers Choice Award, the John Bircumshaw Community Spirit Award from Phoenix Pride, as well as Echo Man of the Year from Echo Magazine. Jimmy credits his long-time partner Paul Roark for standing with him for the past 18 years as they serve the needs of our LGBT community.
